    To apply the latest vendor provided security and bug fixes, and replace failing memory,  NetPhone presence server will be unavailable today Monday, September 29th 2008, from 7:00pm until 8:00pm. 

    Update is being applied to the presence server which provides Bridged Line Appearance (BLA) functionality for the NetPhone service. This function indicates when a shared line is in use on another phone.
    This change should have no impact on regular NetPhone service. However, Netphone users configured for BLA might notice their indicator light not appear. The indicator light should re-appear within an hour of the change.

    CUIT apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but this action is necessary to ensure a more reliable service.  If clients continue to experience issues after the service-interruption hours, please contact the CUIT Helpdesk at:

    We will be performing emergency maintenance on one of the CUIT-Exchange2 databases tonight between 9:30PM and 10:00PM.  During this time,  approximately 150 CUIT-Exchange2 users will be unable to access email and will not receive any new email on Blackberry or Treo devices.  All mail will be queued and delivered after the maintenance period.  The 150 affected users will receive a separate email within the next few minutes alerting them to the outage.

     

    Update 9/24/2008 at 9:41pm:

    This maintenance was completed successfully and took less than five minutes.

    We are currently experiencing problems with connectivity to CUIT-Exchange2.  We are investigating this now.

    Service has been restored.  We are still troubleshooting.

    CUIT-Exchange3 will be down for maintenance tomorrow morning between 3:30 AM and 4:30 AM.  During this time, CUIT-Exchange3 users will be unable to access email and will not receive any new email on Blackberry or Treo devices.
