  • Telephony - NetPhone

    To apply the latest vendor-provided security and bug fixes, CUIT NetPhone Service will be updated on Thursday May 7th, 2009, from 8:00pm to 10:00pm.

    Users with NetPhones configured for Bridged Line appearance (BLA) may notice that the indicator light does not appear on their phone immediately after the upgrade. Please be aware that the indicator light should re-appear within an hour of the change.

    In addition, distinctive ringing will be disabled, enabling NetPhone users to select their own ring types/tones for each extension on their NetPhone.

    Please be aware that all NetPhones will reboot (starting at 3am on Friday May 8th, 2009) as a result of this upgrade. Users will lose their call history as a result.

    Due to construction occurring on the 9th floor of Interchurch, Facilities will shut power for the entire building on Sunday May 3, 2009 between 7am and 3pm.  During this window, network connectivity in the building will be unavailable.

    CUIT is performing emergency maintenance to replace a faulty piece of network equipment servicing 35 Claremont Av.

    During the scheduled time of this Service Alert, clients in 35 Claremont will experience a brief (~5 minutes) interruption in network connectivity.
