  • Network - Ethernet, Wireless and NetPhone

    CUIT is performing maintenance on the Business School's network storage systems, beginning Monday September 16th at 10:00pm, and ending on Tuesday September 17th at 1:00am.

    During the time of this work the following services will be disrupted:

    • Access to all CBS hosted websites and applications
    • Data refresh for Orgsyc/25Live, Canvas, COIN, ECHO360
    • Credit Card processing
    • Shared drive access (PQRS)

    UPDATE: Service was restored on Sunday September 15 at ~ 11:08 AM

     

    Beginning at ~10:15 AM, wired, wireless and NetPhone services became unavailable at International House due to unknown reason.

    Additionaly, at ~10:15 our secondary link to Manhattan School of Music also went down.

    CUIT administrators have been notified and are currently working to resolve both issues.

    CUIT expects to have a resolution or an update by 4:00 PM. We apologize for this service interruption.

    Update from NYSER at 4:30 PM:   Firstlight crew found a pinched fiber in the splice case at state route 96 in Farmington.  The light levels are back to normal.

     

    Update from NYSER at 2:40 PM: The OSP team found the location of the break at State route 96.  They have dispatched a crew to repair the fiber.  No ETA at this time for the crew to arrive on site.

     

    UPDATE: Our provider for this connection has confirmed that a fiber cut is responsible for this outage. The provider is in the process of dispatching technicians for repair. 

    Beginning at appoximately 9:45am, the backup connection to Syracuse became unavailable. CUIT administrators are currently working with the provider for this connection to determine a root cause; an update is anticipated shortly.

    CUIT is performing routine network maintenance in East Campus on September 11, 2019, from 04:20am to 05:20am. This scheduled update is expected to be completed on time. No service interruption is anticipated.

    Beginning at approximately 9:45am on Monday, September 9, 2019, customers on ADCU Exchange began experiencing slowness.  The issue was resolved at approximately 11:30am.
