UPDATE: The planned maintenance was successfully completed within the expected window, with no unexpected behavior. ServiceNow is fully accessible. 


A planned maintenance has been scheduled by CUIT. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

WHAT service(s) affected:  ServiceNow

WHAT are the customer-facing symptoms:  Customers attempting to login to ServiceNow during a 15-minute window on early Sunday morning may be unable to authenticate to login.  Users logged in prior to the start of the maintenance will be unaffected.  

WHAT maintenance action will be performed: the certificate used by ServiceNow to facilitate UNI authentication through Shibboleth will be replaced, as a consequence of the Shibboleth planned maintenance. 

WHO is affected:  users of ServiceNow, including users of the self-service portal, who attempt to login during the 15-minute window.  Users already logged in will not be affected.

WHEN is the planned disruption happening: Sunday 10/13 8am-8:30am, during which a 15-minute window of potential login inability will occur

WHY was this necessary:  because the existing certificate on ServiceNow will no longer function past Sunday morning
