    Altiris Service was restored yesterday afternoon.  No additional issues have been reported.

    Beginning today around 9:30am, the Administrative Altiris Suite became unavailable due to storage issues. CUIT administrators have been notified and are currently working to resolve the issue.

    CUIT expects to have a resolution or an update by 12:00pm. We apologize for this service interruption.

    This work was completed successfully. 

    CUIT staff will be updating system files on the incoming mail servers between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 3. No outage is expected.

    Beginning at approximately 2:15pm on Thursday, August 31, 2017, you may have received Delivery Failure notifications when sending to recipients on the CUIT Exchange system.  This issue was resolved at approximately 3:15pm.  If you received a Delivery Failture, please resend your original message.

    On Tuesday October 17, management of email system files on the outbound email servers will be changed to use puppet instead of locally written scripts. The files themselves will be the same, so there is no effect on email transport.

    The same change was done on the inbound email servers in August. This completes the transition to puppet on the email gateways.

    Email gateways at Morningside were not functioning from 7:08 to 7:44 this morning. During this time service automatically switched over to our Syracuse backup as designed, so disruption was minimal. Messages were handled successfully at Syracuse. Messages already accepted at Morningside but not yet sent to destination were safe in queue and were sent after 7:44.

    The Mailman list host at Morningside continued to function, using the Syracuse hosts for input and output.

    The Cyrus system was not functioning during approximately the same time.

    All systems are functioning normally at this time. CUIT staff are still performing checks.
