    Update: Mail is now going out promptly.

    Mail from columbia.edu to gmail.com and possibly other domains is being delayed. The system automatically re-tries so we expect mail to go through within the next few hours. CUIT engineers will watch the situation and update this alert.

    Beginning at approximately 2pm on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, customers began experiencing intermittent connectivity issues with Lionmail Drive.  CUIT administrators have been notified and are in contact with Google.

    **  Archiving this expired alert  **

    Beginning at approximately 2:30pm on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, customers began receiving messages with a subject similar to "NAME has shared a document on Google Docs with you".  The body of the message contains a link that contains the words "Open in Docs" and looks very similar to a legitimate Google Docs sharing message.


    Whether you have clicked on the link or not, no further action is necessary since the application has been removed and blocked by Google.
