    Update2: The fiber was repaired and service has been restored.

    Update: This outage is due to a damaged aerial fiber cable. The local provider is now working to prepare the cable for the splicing process. The local provider is unable to provide an estimate of when services will be restored.

    Beginning at approximately 4:00pm, the secondary (backup) link between campus and the Syracuse Datacenter became unavailable. CUIT is currently working with Level3, the network services provider responsible for this circuit, to determine the cause. As this is the secondary link, no Syrcause Datacenter services are currently being affected.

  • Network - DNS and DHCP

    Update: This maintenance has been completed successfully at 00:11 (on 8/16) without incident.  

    CUIT is performing routine maintenance on the Infoblox DNS/DHCP/IPAM service on Tuesday August 15th, 2017 starting at 21:00. This scheduled update is expected to be completed by Wednesday August 16th, 2017 at 03:00. No service interruption or downtime is anticipated.

    On Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 8:00AM to 4:00PM, CUIT has scheduled routine maintenance on the environmental system that services the Morningside Campus voice systems located in 114 Low Library.

    No service interruption is anticipated.

  • Telephony - myNetPhone Application

    Update: This maintenance was completed successfully at 9:30AM without incident. 

    CUIT is performing maintenance on the myNetPhone application servers on Tuesday, August 28th, 2017 between 7:00 AM and 1:00PM.

     

    The myNetPhone application may be unavailable during this maintenance period for a short period of time. MyNetPhone users will be unable to change the settings of their extensions, voicemail and unable to access call logs via the myNetPhone application during this time. 

     

    CUIT apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but this action is necessary to ensure a more reliable service.
