  • Telephony - Rolm Phone Support

     Update: Primary Outbound Service has been restored as of 7AM this morning. Outage was due to a defective T1 CSU (Channel Service Unit).

     Update: Temporary service has been restored. Technicians are investigating with the phone company.

    Currently Outbound Voice Service at Parker Plaza office at Fort Lee, NJ is down. Technicians are investigating.

  • UNIX Hosting/Application Service

    Begining around 3:30pm today, there has been a problem with privileged access to Columbia's central LDAP directory.   Services that depend on this access include the CUIT computer lab authentication process, Online Directory information and Shibboleth authentication.   Developers are working to identify and resolve the issue.  There is no estimated time to resolve yet available.

    At approximately 2:30pm, Watson's 8th & 9th floor's Network Connectivity and VoIP services became unavailable due to a faulty switch module. The respective module  was reseated and service was restored at approximately 3pm.

  • Network - Ethernet and Wireless

    Due to electrical work that needs to be conducted in McVickar Hall, power in the building will be shutdown on Saturday October 24th between 7am and 4pm.  During this time, CUIT's network equipment will be offline.  As a result, network connectivity (wired and wireless) and NetPhone service will be unavailable.

    On Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from 10:00am to 10:30am, CUIT will replace the UPS servicing 502 West 122th St.  During this time, users in the building will experience a network outage.
