    Because of an air conditioning outage in the CUIT data center, CUIT is bringing many systems down to protect the servers from overheating.  All data on the servers is safe and secure.

    Systems should return to normal by approximately 1pm today. Another broadcast message will be sent should the outage last any longer.

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

    UPDATE 8/11/09 2:30pm:  Production systems are up and running with the exception of some mainframe batch processing.  CUIT is working with our vendor to ensure this problem is resolved.

    Service has been restored at 10:15 AM.

    PhoneMail Service at the Irving Cancer Research Center, Russ Berrie, and Lasker Buildings is currently unresponsive. Technicians are en route to investigate.

    Due to faulty equipment, users on 5th through 7th floors of John Jay experienced loss of network connectivity at 11:45AM. Service was sucessfully restored at 12:45PM.

    - Update : The Service is restored at 11:30am. 

     

    The PhoneMail servicing the Irving Cancer Center, Russ Berrie Pavillion, and Lasker Building is currently unavailable due to a communication error between the ROLM PBX and PhoneMail. Technicians are en route to investigate.

    We received an alarm notification that the PhoneMail at Parker Plaza is currently unavailable. Initial investigation indicates a problem with the primary drive. Technicians are being dispatched to the site.

    We apologize for this service interruption.

    UPDATE:  This was resolved with no loss of data.
