    Update: Network connectivity has been restored.

    Electrical maintenance currently being performed in the building is affecting network connectivity on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors. Facilities anticipate this maintenance to be completed around noon today.

    CUIT is performing maintenance on redundant systems supporting the Columbia home page at http://www.columbia.edu on Thursday, March 23 at 3:00 PM through Friday, March 24 at 12:00 PM.

    No impact to service is expected for most of this window. However, starting at 2:00 AM Friday morning, a test of an off-site failover system will be conducted. This test will result in visitors to www.columbia.edu from off-campus seeing the following banner on pages:

    Because of technical issues, some Columbia web pages, including the Search and Directories functions, are temporarily unavailable. We are working to resolve the problem as swiftly as possible, and we thank you for your patience.

    This test is expected to conclude no later than 2:30 AM, at which point normal service will be restored.

    CUIT is performing network maintenance at Watt Hall on Wednesday March 22nd, from 10:00am until 12:00pm (noon).  During this time, neither wired- nor wireless- network connectivity will be available.

    CUIT apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but this action is necessary to ensure a more reliable service.  If clients continue to experience issues after the service-interruption hours, please contact the CUIT Helpdesk at:
