  • IAM - CAS authentication

    Between 6:45PM and 7:15PM Wednesday, January 25, some CAS logins to one of the hosts in the CAS pool were affected by an issue with one of the backend LDAP hosts. Some users may have received the message "CAS server unavailable".

    The issue was resolved at 7:15PM. We apologize for any service interruption.

    The Onbase production database server was down between 1:00am and 3:00 am.  Engineers are investigating.

  • IAM - Shibboleth

    On Thursday, January 12, 2017 between 7PM and 7:30PM, CUIT will updating the Columbia Shibboleth IDP to disable the Shibboleth SSO feature. There may be a brief period of service unavailability (lasting just a minute or two) during this maintenance window.

    The Shibboleth IDP provides authentication services to web applications such as ServiceNow, DynamicForms, LabArchives, Lynda, Symplicity, etc.

    Update: due to an issue during the upgrade, the upgrade was not able to be completed. An additional maintenenace window will need to be scheduled. All work occurred within the scheduled window and all services are now available.

    The IDM database will be be unavailable from 8:30AM to 11:30AM Sunday, January 8, 2017 so that an upgrade can occur. The following services will be unavailable during the maintenance window.

    Delegated Identiy Administration webapp (DIA)
    group and maillist changes
    idm2lenel realtime updates
    Online ID Photo Submission
    Password changes and password status webapp
    uniedit support tool
    uni.columbia.edu self-service functions
