The NOC has been receiving tickets from users at Nevis Labs, reporting a network outage. Upon investigation, it was determined that the CUIT network equipment at this location is functioning properly. However, we believe there may be a problem on the Local Area Network. Because CUIT does not administer Nevis' LAN, users should be referred to their local IT staff to further investigate this outage.

For questions about this event, please contact the CUIT Helpdesk at, or call 212-854-1919.

From approximately 1:50pm to 2:50pm there were intermittent service denials for Netphone users placing outbound off campus calls. The problem has been identified as 2 of the 7 inter-PBX T1's that pass traffic out to the PSTN. Technicians have removed the faulty T1's from routing to prevent further service disruption while they investigate the root cause.
