    Beginning at approximately 11:00pm, there was possible service degradation in Mudd, Engineering Terrace, and Computer Science, due to high cpu on a network device.  CUIT administrators were notified, and service was normallized at about 11:45pm.

    CUIT continues to monitor the situation, and are working to determine the root cause.

    UPDATE: This maintenance has been completed successfully. 

    On Thursday November 2nd starting at 6:00am, CUIT will be performing routine maintenance on the Wireless Network to add additional IP address space. This scheduled update is expected to be completed on time.   No system wide service interruption is anticipated, but some users may need to reconnect to their respective Wireless Access Point.

    UPDATE:

    NYSERNET reports that this maintenance is complete.

    Both links to our Syracuse Datacenter are back online.

    Level 3, our backup network provider to Syracuse, is performing maintenance on their equipment on Thursday November 2nd, from 4:00am until 7:00am.

    During the maintenance window Internet traffic will continue to route over our primary connection, so no loss of connectivity is expected.

    Beginning 6:05pm, Darts became unavailable due to application memory leaks. CUIT administrators have been notified and have restored service.

    CUIT is performing necessary maintenance on this service.   This scheduled maintenance is expected to be completed by 10 PM, November 1st.

    During the scheduled time of this Service Alert, clients wil not be able to access the ECRT (Effort Reporting) application.
