    This issue was resolved at approximately 3:40 pm. The cause of the problem was hardware failure. 

    One of the routers that provide a connection to Commodity Internet and Internet 2 is currently down.  All traffic is being routed to our other ISP.  Users may experience degraded network performance.  Technicians are currently working on it.

    CUIT is performing necessary maintenance on this service.   This scheduled maintenance is expected to be completed on-time.

    During the scheduled time of this Service Alert:

    Agile ACD clients will be on backup PBX routing while maintenance is being performed.  This is routine maintenance to ensure the health of the server.

    CUIT apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but this action is necessary to ensure a more reliable service.  If clients continue to experience issues after the service-interruption hours, please contact the CUIT Helpdesk at:

    On Tuesday January 27, 2009 between 11am and 11:30am, CUIT will perform necessary maintenance on the network equipment that services Floors 13, 14, and 15 of the International Affairs Building. This work is not expected to cause any interruption in service.

     Inbound Voice Service was restored at 1:15pm. The cause of the outage was a defective Mux card in the CO.

    We are performing necessary preventative maintenance on main campus phonemail system on Sunday 1/25/09 from 12:00am to 6:00am.

    All main campus PhoneMail users will not be able to access their accounts during this time . This is routine maintenance performed to ensure the health of the PhoneMail system.
