    The affected Cubmail server was removed from the pool and the remaining servers are now handling the workload.

    Customers should see no further symptons related to this partial outage.

    Customers are reporting that when logging in to Cubmail they get the response "Login failed". The problem was found to be isolated to one of the servers in the Cubmail pool.

     

    The affected server has been taken out of service by the system administrators and is expected it to be brought back online shortly.

    Users in 420 W 116th st experienced a loss of internet connectivity today from 11:30AM to 12:30PM. This was due to a fault in the UPS which supplies power to the network equipment in that location. Technicians restored service at 12:30 PM.

    CUIT technicians are enroute to replace the UPS that services this location. This work will take place between 1:30PM and 2:30 PM today.

    We do not anticipate any additional interruption in service during this work.

    Due to a hardware failure, CUIT must perform maintenance on the ROLM phone system. Users are not currently being affected by this hardware faulure.

    This work is scheduled to take place between 9pm today (Friday January 30, 2009) and 6am tomorrow (Saturday January 31 2009).

    During that time, some ROLM phone users may experience interruption in phone service.

    01/29/2009 - 09:00pm to 01/29/2009 - 10:00pm
    CUIT NetPhone service will be updated tomorrow, Thursday, January 29th 2009, at 9:00PM.  The update will enable NetPhone voicemail service to utilize a new storage location.  During this maintenance window, the NetPhone voicemail system will be unavailable for approximately 15 minutes. NetPhone users will be able to make and receive calls during this time.
