    CUIT's microwave vendor  is performing a necessary repair on their equipment. This scheduled maintenance is expected to be completed on-time.

    During the scheduled time of this Service Alert, Network connectivity and Netphone service will be unavailable.

      CUIT apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but this action is necessary to ensure a more reliable service.  If clients continue to experience issues after the service-interruption hours, please contact the CUIT Helpdesk at:

    UPDATE: As of 6:45pm, Cubmail appears to be back up but we are pending final confirmation. 

     

    Starting at 6:10pm today, an unknown number of CubMail users are currently unable to login.  When trying to, they receive a message: "A Fatal Error has occurred.  DB Error: connect failed.  Details have been logged for the administrator."  No further details can be confirmed at this time.  

     Email administrators have been paged, and will work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

    There is currently an electrical outage at Harmony Hall. Other buildings in the area are being affected as there is a concentrator switch in the building. Facilities is currently working on this issue.

    Update:

    The microwave connection to Nash was restored. Network connectivity should be back to normal now.

    Starting at around 8:30am this morning, our network connection (1 gigabit microwave) to Nash building has become sporadically unreliable. We are investigating.

    The maintenance was successfully completed at 7:45 a.m.

     

    CUIT is performing necessary maintenance on the software backend of the wireless network for all academic, administrative, and dormitory buildings on the Morningside Heights Campus. This scheduled maintenance is expected to be completed on-time.

    During the scheduled time of this Service Alert, clients may experience a loss in network connectivity on the wireless network.
