    Starting at 12:01am 1/1/2010, mail was being treated as if it were more likely to be spam than warranted.   A bug in the mail filtering software, SpamAssassin, was rating email with a 2010 year in the date as somewhat more likely to be spam.  This was an issue experienced by most email services using the popular software.  

    It is estimated that about 1000 emails may have been incorrectly refused.   The senders of these emails were notified, with the suggestion that they re-send.   CUIT apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused, and suggest you follow up with anything from whom you were expecting an email on Jnauary 1st but failed to arrive.

    Please be advised that Facilities Management are scheduled to perform a Campus Wide Chilled Water Shutdown starting Monday December 28th, 2009 at 12:01 AM and conclude on January 1, 2010 at 12 AM.

     

    For the duration of this child water shutdown, CUIT’s  Computer Center and Main Campus Voice System located in 114 Low Library will be operating on their backup cooling systems.

    No service interruption is anticipated.

    Blackboard Upgrade

     

    The Blackboard system, which manages Flex Accounts, will be offline for a system upgrade from 12/27/09 through 1/5/2010. During this time, Flex Accounts will not be available for use.

    CUIT is performing maintenance on the Agile ACD server in an attempt to resolve errors seen with ACD message channels. This work will require a restart of the server and supporting equipment. During this time Agile ACD calls will be routed over backup PBX routing. This scheduled update is expected to be completed on time. No service interruption is anticipated.

  • Network - Ethernet and Wireless

    On Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009 from 8:30am to 8:45am, CUIT will replace a UPS in River Halll. During this time, the 2 ninja printing terminals and the computer lab in the basement as well as the Lenel panel in the front will experience a network outage. Students' rooms will not be affected.
