Beginning Wednesday morning at 9am, Sept 17th, the university's calendaring system, Sundial (
http://calendar.columbia.edu/sundial), is expected to receive a high-volume of traffic while people try to register for an event on Sept 24th at 3pm called "The Children of Latin
America: A Future Without Poverty," which features five Latin American presidents as well as performing artists, Shakira and Alejandro Sanz.
During this time while people attempt to register for the 600 open slots and the waitlisted spots, Sundial may experience a slowdown, which at times may result in a request timeout. Users are urged to keep trying to register for the event until registration fills. As connections to Sundial close, a chance will open for them to register.
Registration for the event can be reached by viewing
www.earth.columbia.edu/children or going to
https://calendar.columbia.edu/sundial/webapi/register.php?eventID=25709.
If users are unable to register, they can view the LIVE WEBCAST at
www.earth.columbia.edu/children.
Questions about the event itself can be sent to
children@ei.columbia.edu. Second-level support for registration issues or Sundial system problems can be sent to
sundial-help@columbia.edu.
