  • Telephony - WebMeetMe/NetPhone Audio Conferencing

    Between approximately 12:33 and 12:36, Netphone's conference bridge experienced an outage.  All service has been restored as of 12:36. Engineering staff are currently investigating the cause.

    There were no more reports of Cryptowall ransonware. CUIT is working with individuals affected to bring their machine back to normal.

    There have been reports of Cryptowall ransomware. If you received a message about your files been encrypted and asking to pay a ransom, please disconnect your machine from the network and shutdown your machine immediately. If your machine is a CUIT managed computer please contact the Service Desk at 212-854-1919 or askcuit@columbia.edu.


    CUIT is working feverishly to get every machine impacted back to normal.

    Beginning today at 8:00AM, The CUIT Service Desk started receiving calls from customers who report seeing warnings on their work computers.

    There have been reports of Cryptowall ransomware. If you received a message about your files been encrypted and asking to pay a ransom, please disconnect your machine from the network and shutdown your machine immediately. If your machine is a CUIT managed computer please contact the Service Desk at 212-854-1919 or askcuit@columbia.edu.

    CUIT expects to have an update about this outage by 12 noon. We apologize for this service interruption.

  • MyGrants Dashboard

    Beginning Friday morning November 2, MyGrants was available but data is not displaying. CUIT administrators have been notified and are currently working to resolve the issue.

    CUIT expects a resolution by Monday, November 27 at 12:00pm. We apologize for this service interruption.
