    CUIT is performing necessary IOS upgrades on network equipment at East Campus and Wallach Hall on Monday August 14th, from 9:00pm until 11:00pm.

    During the time of this work, some customers in these locations may experience temporary loss of network connetivity.

    CUIT apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but this action is necessary to ensure a more reliable service.  If clients continue to experience issues after the service-interruption hours, please contact the CUIT Helpdesk at:

    CUIT is upgrading our Interactive Intelligence Servers on Monday August 14th, 2017 starting at 17:00. This scheduled update is expected to be completed by Tuesday August 15th, 2017 at 23:00. No service interruption is anticipated.

    Update2: The fiber was repaired and service has been restored.

    Update: This outage is due to a damaged aerial fiber cable. The local provider is now working to prepare the cable for the splicing process. The local provider is unable to provide an estimate of when services will be restored.

    Beginning at approximately 4:00pm, the secondary (backup) link between campus and the Syracuse Datacenter became unavailable. CUIT is currently working with Level3, the network services provider responsible for this circuit, to determine the cause. As this is the secondary link, no Syrcause Datacenter services are currently being affected.

    Update: Network connectivity has been restored.

    It has been reported that some users in Lenfest Hall our experiencing network connectivity issues.

    CUIT administrators have been notified and are currently working to resolve the issue.

    Update: This planned maintenance has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.

    On Saturday, August 12th between 8:00AM and 4:00PM, CUIT has scheduled routine maintenance on the fire suppression system that protects the Morningside Campus voice systems located in 114 Low Library.

    No service interruption is anticipated.
