    UPDATE:

    Due to winter storm conditions, the date of this work has been changed, from Wednesday 3/15, to Thursday 3/16. 

     

    Facilities is performing a monthly test of their power systems at JLGSC/MBBI (Jerome L. Greene Science Center / Mind Brain Behavior Institute) and CEP (Central Engery Plant), on Wednesday March 15th, from 7:00am until 8:00am.

    All CUIT network equipment, at both of these locations, are connected to redundant power, so no loss of connectivity is anticipated.

    CUIT is performing network maintenance on the 7th floor of the Northwest Corner Building (NWCB) on Thursday March 16th, from 6:00am until 8:00am.  During this time, some customers on floors 7 & 7M may lose wired- and/or wireless- network connectivity.

    CUIT apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but this action is necessary to ensure a more reliable service.  If clients continue to experience issues after the service-interruption hours, please contact the CUIT Helpdesk at:

    Between 3:30 and 4:00pm this afternoon, one of the Netphone gateways experienced a critical error and was automatically restarted.  Some users may have experienced dropped calls and the inability to make outbound calls during this period.  Engineers are investigating this issue.

    Due to a shortage of ip addresses, customers located at 400 W119, 420 W119 and 90 Morningside may have experienced service inteeruptions.  CUIT is in the process of expanding the ip pool and should shortly have the issue fully resolved.
