  • UNIX Hosting/Application Service

    On Saturday 11/7, from 6am to 12 noon, there will be a planned maintenance for the underlying server equipment hosting the Data Warehouse, Financial Systems and Research Administration applications.  During this time, necessary software upgrades will be performed. 

    Services expected to be unavailable during this time:

    DWR (Data Warehouse), FinSys, WebSAF, Rascal

  • Network Printing

    Customers may have experienced a brief issue printing using the University network printing system (NINJA) today between 2:30pm and 3pm.   The issue was found to be an Oracle server issue, and has now been resolved.   Please contact the CUIT Helpdesk at 212-854-1919 if you continue experience issues printing.

    On Wednesday, November 4th, 2009 from 9:45am to 10:15am, CUIT will replace the UPS servicing 423 W. 120th street .  During this time, users in the building will experience a network outage.

    CUIT apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but this action is necessary to ensure a more reliable service.  If clients continue to experience issues after the service-interruption hours, please contact the CUIT Helpdesk at:

    The CUIT Helpdesk and Helpdesk Support Center at 202 Philosophy will be closed on Tuesday, November 3rd, for the Election Day holiday.  The Helpdesk and Helpdesk Support Center will reopen on Wednesday, November 4th, for normal service hours.

    Please visit http://askcuit.columbia.edu for answers to frequently asked questions or to report an issue.  You can also submit email requests to askcuit@columbia.edu.   We will respond to requests in the order in which they're received.

    To report a serious service outage affecting multiple customers (or a business-critical service), please call 212-854-1919.  Choose the option to reach an operator who can then page the appropriate server administrator.
