    On Tuesday, July 24th, between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm, CUIT will be performing necessary network maintenance at Chrysler Building. This scheduled maintenance is expected to be completed on-time.

    During the scheduled time of this Service Alert, clients may experience a loss of wired, wireless and NetPhone services.

    IDM system databases will be be unavailable for approximately 30 minutes at some time between 9PM and 10PM on Wednesday, July 25, so that updates can be applied.  During the update process, there will be a temporary interruption in the following services:

    Delegated admin application (DIA)
    Gino web service (for Lenel updates)
    ID photo submission application (WPS)
    UNI activation
    group and maillist changes (including Grouper)
    password management
    uni.columbia.edu (myUNI web site)
    uniedit (Service Desk support tool)

    Due to one server in the cluster becoming unstable/unavailable on 7/24/18 at about 11:30 am, the InfoEd Technical team is working with Systems and our vendor to identify the root cause and bring the server back on line.

    Certain users may experience a disruption to service and will need to close open windows and re-connect with InfoEd. While we resolve the issue with this server, the F5 should redirect requests to the working server.

    We apologize for the short notice and any inconvenience this may cause; however, this work is neccessary in order for CUIT to continue to deliver reliable service to our customers.

    UPDATE: This maintenance has been completed successfully.

     

    On Tuesday July 24th at 6am, CUIT will be performing necessary maintenance on the Enterprise Zone VLAN215 Subnet to upgrade HSRP to version 2.   This scheduled maintenance is expected to be completed on-time.

    During the scheduled time of this Service Alert, servers in VLAN215 will experience brief loss of network connectivity while the router HSRP pairing reinitializes.
