    On Friday 9/30/16 at 1:00am, CUIT is performing necessary maintenance on the Network Equipment serving CEPSR 8th floor..   This scheduled maintenance is expected to be completed on-time.

    During the scheduled time of this Service Alert, clients may experience loss of network connectivity.

    Beginning at 6:30pm on Thursday, September 29, 2016, CUIT will perform scheduled maintenance on the Exchange email servers.  This scheduled maintenance is expected to be completed by 9:00pm.
    During the scheduled time of this Service Alert users may experience brief disconnects while using Outlook.  If you are prompted for your password, please restart your mail application.

    Beginning at 5:08pm a central router at the computer center started experiencing high CPU problems, which turn caused many connections to hang or fail.  As a result, many customers may have experienced interminnent losses of network connectivity.

    In particular, customers on Havemayer floors 3 & 4, from approximately 7:30pm until 8:00pm, may have lost netwrok connectivity.

    80 Claremont

    Carl-3

    Chandler

    Computer Center

    Dodge Hall

    Dodge Gym

    Earl Hall

    Havemeyer

    ire-601w113

    ISSO

    Knox Hall

    Lewisohn

    Low Library

    Mathematics

    North West Corner Building

    Philosophy

    Pupin

    Riverside Church (RSC)

    Union Theological (UTS)

    Uris

    Watson Hall

     

    The source of the outage was isolated, and service restored, at approximately 8:04pm.  CUIT administrators will continue to monitor the situation.

    The Univeristy Events Calendar became unavilable at approximately 3pm.  CUIT is investigating the outage and working to restore service.  We will update this alert when the service is restored.
