  • Network - DNS and DHCP

    UPDATE: Maintenance work was completed successfully at 1845 with no service disruption.

    CUIT is performing emergency maintenance on the university DNS and DHCP services this evening, starting at 1745 and expected to complete by 1830. This work will correct the issue that caused disruption earlier today.

    Network administrators do not expect any disruption in service, but will be monitoring the situation closely and will provide any update(s) as needed. Please report any issues to the CUIT Helpdesk.

    UPDATE: CUIT administrators have resolved the problem.  Customers trying to access the wired and wireless networks should be able to do so without issue. 

     

    Customers trying to access the wired and wireless networks may experience difficulty connecting due to a DHCP issue CUIT is currently having.  Customers who have a current ip lease should not be affected.  

    CUIT system administrators are currently consulting with the vendor to resolve the issue.  At this time, we are unable to offer an estimate as to when the issue will be resolved.

    UPDATE: Scheduled maintenance has been completed succesfully. 

    On Wednesday, Feb 4, 2015 from 10:00am to 11:00am, CUIT is performing necessary maintenance on this service.   This scheduled maintenance is expected to be completed on-time.

    During the scheduled time of this Service Alert, clients may experience loss of network connectivity.

  • Cellular - Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES)

    CUIT is performing routine maintenance on our Blackberry Enterprise Server March 3, 2015, from midnight to 4 a.m.  During this time you will experience a delay in e-mail messages, caledar, contact and task updates reaching your Blackberry device.  Voice and SMS services will be unaffected.  This scheduled update is expected to be completed on time. No service interruption is anticipated.

    Update: The uniedit tool was successfully updated. The group tool was unexpectedly impacted by this update, and had limited availability during the afternoon of Monday March 2. The group tool was fully in service by 5PM. 

    The IDM uniedit tool will be updated between 9AM and noon Monday, March 2. The update is part of a shift from the Solaris OS and will not alter any of the tool's functions. No service interruption is anticipated.
