    UPDATE:  Service has been restored.  We're still investigating the root cause of the original problem

     

    Begining at around 7am today, network connection became unavailable. CUIT administrators have been notified and are currently working to resolve the issue.

    CUIT expects to have a resolution or an update shortly. We apologize for this service interruption.

    The MX records for 115 domains handled by CUIT now direct mail into the new linux incoming mail servers. Most of these are subdomains of columbia.edu but a few are .org domains affiliated with the university.

    Users do not need to do anything different. There was no downtime.

    CUIT is performing routine network routing maintenance. This scheduled update is expected to be completed on time. No service interruption, no network slowness is anticipated.

    UPDATE:  This maintenance was Successfully Completed.  Network service has been Restored and Tested.

     

    CUIT is performing necessary maintenance on network equipment in Dodge Hall from 1:00am - 2:00am on Friday, 1/23/2015.   This scheduled maintenance is expected to be completed on-time.

    During this time, users in Dodge Hall on floors 2 through 5 may experience loss of wired and wireless network connectivity.

    CUIT apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but this action is necessary to ensure a more reliable service.  If clients continue to experience issues after the service-interruption hours, please contact the CUIT Helpdesk at:
